Description
A beautiful pathway leading the way from a hike across the balds of the Roan Highlands. The Roan Highlands are the longest stretch of grassy balds in the Appalachian Mountains and have been reported to be one of the most beautiful stretches of The Appalachian Trail. This shot was taken as I was coming back across Jane Bald, the second bald to be reached when hiking from Carver's Gap.
